The 15 year old vineyard is planted in lime-rich soil, with a clay component atop deep riverstone, which provides good drainage.

Tasting Notes

An inviting deep straw colour, this full bodied white wine boasts a complex nose of apple pear notes and a hint of butterscotch aromas. Sur Lie aging in French oak barrels adds a creamy velvety texture to palate. An impeccable fruit/acid balance ensures a lingering aftertaste.

The 10 year old vineyard is planted in clay-loam soil with Karoo shale.

Ageing Potential

This wine is perfectly drinkable at present and will gain even further complexity over the next 3-5 years, given careful cellaring.
